BAHAMA MAMA

I’m Feeling rather nostalgic today. In honor of it being the first day of summer I wanted to share a little bit about my experience going to Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas. I’m seriously missing the beach so much! Overall it was a BLAST. I went with my wonderful (CRAZY) fam. I highly recommend it. Here are a few pros and cons of Atlantis.

BUSY BUSY BUSY.

The Bahamas are beautiful of course, however Atlantis is very crowded. That would be my only major complaint about the trip. The resort its self is ginormous with large beautiful aquariums at every corner. But the next thing you know you have three cruise ships pulling up to the harbor and everyone on the ship is headed to Atlantis. The Wait for water rides in the park, food, and chairs are long on cruise ship days. Whenever there is not a ship on the Island things seemed to be a lot more calm and peaceful (and no excessive lines). But overall it is the hip and happenin’ place to be. So watch out for the crowds.

Everything is expensive.

From food, to drinks (whether it’s mock tails [what we did] or cocktails), and souvenirs everything is a bit pricey. You are on an island where everything is imported so it is understandable.

Beautiful scenery at every corner.

One thing Atlantis was done a wonderful job at is making you feel like you are actually in this magical underwater world. The decor is BEAUTIFUL. Some of the rooms and scenery is just breath taking. This is a place everyone should at least experience once in their life. Plus there is a pool at every corner. Who doesn’t love that?!

Snorkeling.

One of the days we decided to go on a snorkeling excursion through a group outside of Atlantis. We went out a ways away from the resort. We stopped at Eddie Murphy’s abandoned island which was really neat (and kind of creepy!) . We were able to get out and walk around. There were man made pools from the ocean and little hut like houses on it. After that we went out into the ocean and snorkeled. We saw a few small sharks, various colorful fish, and we found a ton of sand dollars! Loads of fun!

Overall two thumbs up! Everyone should go and experience it! Hope you all have as much fun as we did! 🙂

BALAYAGE

Hello friends! A few months ago I decided to get a balayage on my virgin hair. Due to the fact I’m such a baby when it comes to change, I was not a fan. Everyone said they liked it, but all I could see was ORANGE hair. NO ONE WANTS TO HAVE ORANGE HAIR.( unless your Hayley Williams and SLAY IT)

Any who, I’m so use to having such dark hair it was a little bit of a shock I think. I changed it back (to my natural dark brown in case you were wondering). If you are a newcomer to the bayalage world like I was, please make sure you research the person you are going to get that “hair-did” from.

I made the mistake of going to a complete stranger who’s specialty was doing crazy colors. The hair dresser was talented, but just was not what I was looking for. Sometimes it will work out in your favor. To me it did not unfortunately. But looking back on it my hair really didn’t look too bad! What do you think?! I was probably over reacting. But hey, ya live and ya learn!
